The S-Book Tacular Book Sale is kicking off this week at the Erie Blasco Library!

The sale will last from Oct. 16-18, and be hosted inside Blasco’s Admiral Room. Market times will be held from 10-6pm, 10-4pm, and 9-3pm, respectively. Featuring a diverse array of used books, puzzles, DVDs, and CDs, the vast and frequently refreshed selection of affordable media is sure to capture your attention, and maybe your wallet!

The S-Book Tacular Sale will be the final market held this year after the Book Lover’s, Swing into Spring, and The Great American Book Sales held earlier in the year. So, if you’re looking for one more opportunity to restock your shelves, now’s the time.

For a brief word of appreciation, these sales are made possible through the efforts of the Friends of the Erie County Library. The Friends are a non-profit volunteer-based organization that aids in the collecting, sorting, and selling of donated media. With over 400 members, the group raises funds to finance many of the library’s classes, programs, and various needs. In 2024 alone, the Friends raised over $75,000 for community-based services and staff development. The library, and our community, owe them much thanks.

Membership to the Friends of the Erie County Library is open to all, and offers a wonderful opportunity to connect and enrich our city on the bay.

So, whether you’re looking for a day of shopping, a chance to volunteer, or just a quiet place to study, come on down to the Erie Blasco Library and enjoy the wonderful gift that our tireless community has helped to cultivate.
