Rochester, NY – Penn State Behrend Senior and men’s track star Samuel Hetrick finished in the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Championships as the runner-up on Saturday, March 2.

 

Hetrick made the runner-up title in the high jump on the last day of the competition, as he jumped 6-7 1/2. His performance was right behind  Jamile Gantt, of Rowan. Freshman Jake Egizio, of Canonsburg, PA, and of Canon-McMillan High School, finished with a final time of 22.70, and finished in 18th place during the 200mm dash event.

 

During the competition, the the 4×2 relay team that consisted of Marshall Nioch, Jake Walden, and Brandon Konieczki, of Harborcreek, PA, and of Harborcreek High School, made it to the finish line in 1:35.42 to come in at 23rd place.

 

Overall, the Lions finished with a tie for 27th place out of 39 teams who were in the team standings, with a total score of 18 points.
