Even though spring break is only a little over a week long, it can still be a great way to decompress and separate ourselves from the stress that college brings us. Are you looking to not be super productive this break? Here are some basic ways you can relax your body and your mind during the upcoming spring break.

  • Go on a nice walk

Find a trail nearby or just walk around your neighborhood on a nice day. Put

some headphones on and listen to your favorite playlist to clear your head.

Admire the nature in your area. Sometimes, I do my best thinking when I am just

walking outside. It is also a great way to not do any thinking at all, if that is what

you would prefer. Either way, it is a very easy activity you can do to help your

mind relax.

  • Binge watch a TV show

If you would rather read than watch TV, that is a good alternative. Reading just feels like more schoolwork for me, personally, but everyone is different! A good brain turn-off for me is just curling up in bed or on the couch in my pajamas and  turning on a TV show I have watched multiple times. It can be a new watch, too, but that is just what I do. Feel free to take a day to not change out of your pajamas and just be comfortable all day long. It is one of my favorite things to do.

  • Spend some time with friends and family

For most people in college, it can be difficult to see your friends and family back in your hometown as often as you would want to. If you are going home for your spring break, enjoy your time with the people you love. Have fun and do not let your stresses get in the way of your time with them.

  • Take naps!!!

I absolutely love a good nap. It can be a really great way to just take a break from the day. It really helps with my stress and anxiety and sometimes, your brain and body just need to shut down and reset for you to continue with whatever you are doing. I am a proud supporter of naps and you should absolutely not feel ashamed of taking a good nap.
