is past weekend, a large group of Behrend students took time out of their Friday and Saturday to attend the 2024 Leadership Conference.

This conference offers insight into a multitude of paths students can take to decide their future as leaders. Students got the opportunity to experience what professional conferences look like and to learn about different leadership styles and methods. People of all different majors attended to get more knowledge about improving their leadership skills in school or professional settings.

Friday night and Saturday morning included a lesson in “Dance Floor Theory,” which was taught by the very enthusiastic Tom Krieglstein. He discussed different leadership practices, how to get yourself out there, ways to keep people engaged, his past and how he overcame it, and so much more. Krieglstein also incorporated group activities in fun ways and he challenged the groups to get to know each other with non-traditional icebreakers. He certainly knows his way with a crowd and he just made sure everybody was having a good time.

Additionally, some great speakers involved with Behrend came in to give lessons on a multitude of leadership styles and communication methods that students could attend throughout the day. All in all, it gave Behrend students great education about skills they will need and use for a lifetime.

Thank you to the wonderful people involved in Student Leadership and Involvement for making this amazing conference happen!
