ERIE, Pa. – In a challenging matchup at Eastland Bowl, the Penn State Behrend women’s bowling team faced a tough test against D’Youville, ultimately falling short in all three traditional games on Saturday afternoon, January 27.

The final scores of the traditional games tell the tale of a hard-fought battle:

  • Game 1: D’Youville 916, Behrend 866
  • Game 2: D’Youville 847, Behrend 780
  • Game 3: D’Youville 885, Behrend 812

Key Moments:

In the opening game, Katy Richardson (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) showcased her prowess by leading the Lions with an impressive 212, while Ashley Debich (Leechburg, PA/Kiski Area) contributed with a solid 175.

Junior Sidney Batsa (Latrobe, PA/Greater Latrobe) took the spotlight in game two, recording a team-high 180, closely followed by Debich’s 166.

Batsa once again displayed her bowling excellence in the final game, finishing with an impressive 199.

Newcomer Anyssa Keeling-Oliver (Monroeville, PA/Gateway) made her home debut for the Lions in game three, contributing with a score of 148.

With this challenging tripleheader, Penn State Behrend’s overall season record now stands at 21-31, holding a 9-10 record in team play. The team looks ahead to future matchups, aiming to bounce back from this setback and continue their pursuit of success on the lanes.
