I am going to be listing off some musicals I would love to see Behrend put on as productions. I know some of these might be out of budget or impossible to do, but I can dream!

Mean Girls
“Mean Girls: the Musical” has been gaining more popularity recently due to it getting a theatrical release. I feel like it would be a while for it to be okay to put on this show, but it is perfect for a college show. And it has a large cast and would absolutely bring in a large audience (because millennials and gen Z love “Mean Girls”).

Mamma Mia!
I saw a community theater performance of “Mamma Mia!” a few years ago and it was really good… and I think Behrend could also make it really great! It is such a feel-good show and would bring so many positive vibes. Plus, everybody loves ABBA!

Urinetown
If you have never heard of this musical and just read the title… Yes, it is weird, but it is a good show, trust me. It has an interesting concept and it is very humorous. It has been one of the most entertaining musicals I have seen live thus far.

Spring Awakening
Similarly to “Chicago” or “Cabaret” there is a whole lot of sultry subject matter in this show and that is very entertaining to watch.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Meat pies and murder! What else could you want in a creepy musical? It would be perfect to perform around Halloween!

Into the Woods
Everyone knows that this is one of the most classic musicals. Large cast, solid
songs, and recognizable characters and stories… sounds like a good sell.
