ERIE, Pa. – In a thrilling second-round showdown at the ECAC Championships on a crisp Sunday afternoon, the Penn State Behrend men’s soccer team secured a resounding 1-0 shutout win against the formidable Franciscan squad on November 12.
The game was a showcase of impressive athletic prowess and determined teamwork as both teams fought fiercely for dominance on the field. The final score told the tale of the match: Penn State Behrend 1, Franciscan 0.
Penn State Behrend entered the match with a season record of 12-4-3, facing off against a formidable Franciscan team with a record of 12-6-3. The stage was set for a high-stakes clash, with both teams determined to advance further in the ECAC Championships.

John Ziobro of Westtown, NY’s Minisink Valley, had an early scoring opportunity in the fifth minute but was denied by the post.
