A group of Penn State Behrend students recently organized a fundraiser to benefit the Erie County Humane Society, a local animal shelter that is a nonprofit, and which relies on donations and volunteers for its upkeep. The rescue takes animals from across the county and provides them shelter, food and medical care until they are able to be adopted.
The Behrend Animal Rights Club is a student organization that promotes animal welfare and leads animal rights. The club is open to all Behrend students interested in animal welfare issues. The success of the fundraiser has inspired the Behrend Animal Rights Club to plan more events in the future to benefit the Humane Society of Erie County and other animal welfare organizations in the area. Their goal is to make a real difference in the lives of the animals in our communities.
The fundraiser organized by the Behrend Animal Rights Club is an example of how students coming together for a common cause can positively impact the community. The funds raised will truly make a difference in the lives of animals in need and demonstrate that Behrend students care about the welfare of animals in their communities.
The event was organized by a group of students from the Behrend Animal Rights Club who wanted to do something for a local animal shelter. The club has been actively involved in advocating for animal rights and raising awareness of animal cruelty in the community.
The fundraiser included a variety of different events to raise money, such as a bake sale, a pet adoption drive and a silent auction. The bake sale features a variety of homemade goodies, including cookies, brownies and cupcakes.
The silent auction features a range of items donated by local businesses, including gift cards, jewelry and art. Bidding was fierce, with many attendees eager to support the cause and land some good deals at the same time.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to the local animal shelter, which relies entirely on donations to provide food, shelter and medical care for the animals in its care. The shelter, run by a dedicated group of volunteers, has been overwhelmed by the number of animals in need in recent months, and the funds raised by Behrend students will go a long way toward improving their ability to care for these animals.
The event is a testament to the power of community engagement and the importance of giving back to those in need. The Behrend Animal Rights Club hopes to continue organizing similar events in the future and encourages all members of the Behrend community to get involved in supporting local animal shelters and other worthy causes in the area.
