Scary movies are movies that are made to scare an audience and make them feel fear. They have been implemented in today’s society as a important part of Halloween. In October every years, people gather around and watch the movies that they deem scary.

I personally do not think that a lot of those movies are scary. For instance, the Halloween movie franchise, those films might be scary for some people with all the gore and jump scares, which I totally get but honestly the last few movies that this franchise made were not even that good. I did not think those movies were scary because everything that happened in the last movie Halloween Ends was so predictable except for the part with Michael Myers training that one kid to replace him, which honestly made no sense in the context of the film.

I do personally really like the Scream film franchise. I do really like this franchise not because of how scary the film actually is but because of the mystery of who the next Ghostface is. I really like those films because they are so mysterious and you keep guessing until the end. The jump scares in the film is also really good because if you are a person who gets scared easily the jump scares in these films will get you.

I also really like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre film francise because out of every film series that I have watched these were the scariest. Maybe it’s because apparently this film franchise is based on a real story. Which actually makes the films even scarier if you think about it. I really like how they made an even scarier prequel movie titled Leatherface about the origin story of the protagonist in the film series. I thought that film was super scary for being an origin story film and had tons of parts that audiences were not expecting. But the jump scares, the overall goriness make these films even scarier.

Any film that has a creepy doll trying to get revenge or kill someone is super scary to me. I hate films with creepy dolls because the doll looks so real like one of those porcelain dolls that someones grandmother had in her living room. I mean who would not be scared of that. The Boy films are the scariest out of all of them. That boy doll is more scare than he is creepy. He looks so creepy as does dolls in other films but he is even more scary especially at the end of The Boy 2. Every movement that took made me jump out of my seat.

In the end, I guess some films are scarier than others. Halloween films are less scary then Scream films, Scream films are less scary than the Texas Chainsaw massacre film and even The Boy films are more scary than the Texas Chainsaw massacre films. I guess it just depends on how scared a person is of scary movies and concepts of scary movies.
