Welcome to the Club Showcase where every week we highlight one of the many extraordinary clubs you can join as a Penn State Behrend student. Today, we are focusing on the Behrend Music Production Club. To learn more about this club, let us go to our discussion with club vice president Reed Coyle.
What is the name of your club? (and nickname if you have one)
“We are the Behrend Music Production Club, known as BMPC.”
Does your club have a mission statement? What are your core values?
“At the BMPC, we aim to present opportunities for the growth of musical knowledge on campus. This growth is through the usage of digital audio workstations, known as DAWs, such as FL Studio.”
What is the most significant thing your club does on-campus?
“As a motivator and reward for passionate club members, we plan on hosting concerts and DJing events. We are happy to host any and all other events for the college and outside the campus.”
Do you have any upcoming events currently planned? If so, what events and when?
“We have weekly meetings every Saturday at 3 p.m. in Lilley Library Room 006. We also have a concert on Saturday, April 22nd at 3 p.m. in Reed 117.”
How can a student get involved with your organization?
“Our meetings are open to anyone. They can just show up, contact someone on the E-board, or seek information from Behrend Sync.”
And that was the Behrend Music Production Club. If you are interested in joining, make sure to reach out to Reed or the rest of the club’s E-Board for more information. We will see you next week for another installment of Club Showcase!
