Are you looking for an authentic Italian dining experience? If so, Mi Scuzi is the restaurant for you.

Mi Scuzi is a local Italian restaurant at 2641 Myrtle Street. Mi Scuzi is truly the embodiment of an authentic Italian restaurant with high-quality ingredients and delectable meals. 

I had heard about this restaurant before, so I decided to check it out. Mi Scuzi does require reservations, but it’s a casual setting that does not require you to dress fancy. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. I especially recommend outdoor seating in the summer. Enjoying Italian delicacies with the sun and shade hitting you is so blissful and perfect. If dining in is not your speed, you can always do take-out.

I went to My Szuci for a small party. Immediately after walking in, I was struck by the restaurant’s homey ambiance. The restaurant was dimly lit with Italian art and portraits adorning the wall. There were also beautiful plants hanging off the wall with decorative lights. You truly feel authentically wrapped in Italian culture when you walk into this restaurant, with the aroma of delicious Italian food immediately hitting your nose and activating your taste buds. 

Some of the popular foods at Mi Scuzi are: calamari ceviche, shrimp fra diavolo, and marsala. My party and I tried the Pizza Mi Scuzi appetizer, ravioli ‘grande,’ and the Ghirardelli Chocolate. Every food that we tried was excellent and well-cooked. 

From a vegetarian perspective, I found that this restaurant was vegetarian and vegan-friendly. If you are also vegetarian or vegan, then I recommend Mi Scuzi. There is no reason to worry about not getting the authentic Italian feel.

The service at this Mi Scuzi was as excellent as their food. The servers were friendly and professional, served the food promptly, and were proactive in checking their guests. They even provided personal recommendations.

I asked for other people’s opinions about this restaurant around campus. A junior said, “Mi Scuzi is the perfect place to have a fancy yet casual dining experience. I highly recommend it if you like Italian food.” A freshman said, “We went there to celebrate one of my best friend’s birthday, and we felt like it was a good time. The service was terrific and so was the food.” 

Overall, my experience at Mi Scuzi was memorable. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and the service was top-notch. Mi Scuzi is considered to be the best Italian restaurant in Erie and I do not disagree. You should check it out at least once.
