Chris Evans, the iconic actor best known for his role as Captain America in the multi-billion-dollar Marvel “Avengers” franchise, has been deemed People’s “Sexiest Man Alive.” The actor has handled his new title with grace, stating “This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about,” continuing, “It feels like a weird form of humble bragging.” 

Evans’ career has been extensive and successful, starring in the Pixar movie “Lightyear” and the Netflix film “Gray Man.” He has also filmed three additional movies this year, including “Ghosted”, which Evans produced, set to air on AppleTV+ in 2023. 

Evans has managed to star in several films this year, while also prioritizing his life at home. 

When regarding how he prioritizes shoots, he stated, “When it comes to seeking out the people I play it’s more of an issue of where the movie shoots, he says. “I’m too old to be living out of a suitcase for six months and I’ve settled into a nicer phase where I’m just happy being at home.” 

The star, who is now in his 40s also mentioned he has a desire to settle down soon, perhaps considering marriage and fatherhood. 

“That’s absolutely something I want,” he stated, alluding to this being a more private subject. “Some things you want just for you, or just for my family and my friends.” 

Evans has also spoken about how, at this point in his career, he feels secure and as though he now has the freedom to be able to explore different fulfilling avenues. Perhaps we will see Evans take some time away from the film in the future to produce more projects, or even to spend more time at home in Boston. 

Evans spoke quite a bit about his mom, Lise, in his interview with People. Lisa was incredibly excited by the News Evans had been named Sexiest Man Alive. 

“I am not surprised at all,” she told People. “Our family will be beside themselves.” 

When Evans was asked about his mom’s reaction, he said, “She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about.” 

The 2021 Sexiest Man Alive, Paull Rudd, had a rather different reaction to attaining the title. The actor explained that he was aware of many people before he should have gotten the reward, but that was where his humility stopped. 

“I mean I’m going to lean into it hard. I’m going to own this. I’m not going to try to be like ‘Oh, I’m so modest.’ I’m getting business cards made.” Rudd jokes. “All of my friends will destroy me and I expect them to. And that’s why they’re my friends.” 

In 2020, Michael B. Jordan won Sexiest Man Alive, stating he was most excited for the woman in his wife to celebrate the title with him. “This is one that they’re definitely going to have a special place for.”
