Taylor Swift had many different eras throughout her career. But the greatest era by far is her Reputation era. “Reputation” is her sixth studio album and was released on November 10, 2017. “Reputation” consisted of songs like “Look What You Made Me Do” and “Delicate.” “Reputation” is mostly seen as a comeback album as Swift took a year away from the spotlight.

The album is seen as a comeback album by fans and critics making the era the greatest era of Taylor Swift’s career. But what else makes Reputation Swift’s greatest era?

Reputation is Taylor Swift’s greatest era because it was as if Swift had wiped the slate clean after her last studio album “1989.” Swift had wiped every tweet and post from all her social media accounts right before the announcement of the November release of “Reputation.” All of her social media accounts being wiped clean right before a release of a studio album is something that Swift has never done before.

As stated by Buzzfeed “In days before the announcement, mysterious videos were posted to her Instagram and Twitter accounts, apparently depicting a writhing snake. This led fans to speculate that Taylor was attempting to reclaim the ‘snake’ image she was branded with after a very public and very exhausting feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Long story short, they were right.”

During the Reputation era, she was trying to reclaim the snake image that people were giving her during the feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Even during the 1989 era when she fully transitioned her music from country to pop, she kept all previous eras on her social media accounts. But with Reputation, she had wiped all of her social media clean for her new era.

Also, Reputation is Taylor Swift’s greatest era because after the drama with Kim Kardashian and Kayne West, she took back the narrative. She used the video “Look What You Made Me Do” to take back the narrative. She also used the video to make fun of the many different eras that she has had over the years.

The Reputation era discouraged fans from speculating about what she wrote her songs about. The Reputation era does not have hidden messages throughout the songs and Taylor Swift has stated that she wanted the fans to stop focusing on who the songs are about but the music in general instead.

The Reputation era is simply the greatest Taylor Swift era. Between deleting everything from her past eras on her social media as a symbol of wiping the slate clean and starting over in order to reclaim the narrative, this era is the greatest era of Taylor Swift. Also, the music on the album speaks to the greatness of Taylor Swift’s Reputation era.
