Welcome to the Club Showcase where every week we highlight one of the many extraordinary clubs you can join as a Penn State Behrend student. Today, we are focusing on Behrend’s College Democrats. To learn more about this club, let us go to our discussion with Secretary Briona Bargerstock. 

What is  the name of your club? (and nickname if you have one)

“We are Penn State Behrend’s College Democrats, also known as College Dems.”

Does your club have a mission statement? What are your core values?

“College Democrats is an organization dedicated to promoting the ideals and values of the Democratic Party. We also seek to promote political awareness and encourage an active political student body. We will accomplish this by actively campaigning for Democratic Candidates across Erie County.”

Do you have any upcoming events currently planned? If so, what events and when?

“We have a variety of campaigning opportunities and assisting local politicians. That includes John Fetterman’s recent Behrend visit.”

What is the most significant thing your club does on-campus?

“We work to make sure that everyone, no matter their political affiliation, is registered to vote.”

How do you get involved with your organization?
