Whether you like Chinese food, sushi, or even Pad Thai, then Ichiban, located on Buffalo Road, is the place for your next take-out or dine-in dinner plan!

While the restaurant is not new to Erie, many people still do not know what it is. I stumbled upon Ichiban with my parents in high school for a sushi dinner since many of Erie’s Chinese restaurants do not have sushi as an option.

As college students, do not let their prices scare you from trying them at least once. Many items for a la carte are pretty low, however, you might as well try the “All You Can Eat” menu for $13.99 plus tax between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. or $21.99 plus tax after 3 p.m. for dinner.

When ordering from the all-you-can-eat menu, everything you order is made fresh and brought out to you. However, you must finish everything you order, or the restaurant reserves the right to charge you for any wasted food. So take your time, hang out for a while, and snack away at your favorite Chinese dishes or sushi rolls all day long.

The menu also includes decent portions of items that can be ordered separately from the all-you-can-eat option as well. Simply try a roll of sushi and add soup, or maybe you want an appetizer as well. The combinations are endless, and the food overall is delicious.

I tend to order General Tso’s or Orange chicken off the menu, sticking to the basics. The food is always hot, the chicken an appropriate amount of crispy and covered in sauce. The full meals also come with a heaping side of rice and an egg roll to accompany the main course.

For those above the legal drinking age, while you are there, I recommend trying a glass of Sake or one of their other alcoholic beverages. The alcohol menu has various options as well for relatively decent prices.

The restaurant overall is, despite being quite expensive, rather delicious and versatile. Ichiban makes for a great date night, a perfect place to order take-out from for a night in, and a way to reward yourself with a filling all-you-can-eat meal. If you find the time, this restaurant is worth checking out!
