Welcome to the Club Showcase where every week we highlight one of the many extraordinary clubs you can join as a Penn State Behrend student. Today, we are focusing on Random Acts of Kindness (RAK). To learn more about this club, let us go to our discussion with the club Vice President and Public Relations Briona Bargerstock
What is the name of your club? (and nickname if you have one)
“Random Acts of Kindness (RAK).”
Does your club have a mission statement? What are your core values?
“RAKs’ mission is to strengthen relationships among members of the Penn State Erie, The Behrend College and other local communities by fulfilling requests to give back to those in need on an individual and group basis. RAK believes kindness in all forms should be spread to everyone. We love taking care of our students and community at PSB! Visit our stairwell in Reed & read the encouragement notes students have left.
What is the most significant thing your club does on-campus?
“The Random Acts of Kindness Stairwell in the Reed Union Building and RAK Week in February.”
Do you have any upcoming events currently planned? If so, what events and when?
“Make A Card For A Veteran every Thursday in October 10:00 am- 1:00 pm and Halloween Buckets October 31st.”
How do you get involved with your organization?
“Fill out the RAK interest form on Behrend Sync”
And that was Random Acts Kindness (RAK). If you are interested in joining, make sure to reach Briona for more information. We will see you next week for another installment of Club Showcase!
