On Feb.  21, the band Big Time Rush announced that they were going back on tour. On their announcement, the band wrote: “Not only are we excited to be sharing new music with you this week, but we’ve been holding onto this secret for two years now! We’re going on tour!”

Tickets are going on sale on February 25. There are 41 different dates to choose from for the entire tour.

The tour will begin June 23 and will last about three months long, finishing on Aug. 20. They will be touring major cities across North America. Dixie D’Amelio will be joining the band for only some of the tour dates, which are primarily in June and July.

The announcement after a long hiatus for the band, who debuted in 2009 with their show “Big Time Rush,” which premiered on the channel Nickelodeon. Big Time Rush stated that they were getting back together in June of 2020.

They have released two songs since the band announced that they were no longer on hiatus.

In July of 2020, the band hosted two reunion shows in Chicago and New York City.

James Maslow, a member of the group, said in regards to their reunitement: “We’ve all talked about getting back together over the years, but the timing just wasn’t right. At the end of 2019, we finally started to make plans for a comeback. Then of course we have to make a lot of adjustments because of everything in the world. The silver lining of it all was that we got to spend a lot more time working on music and planning our inevitable return.”

In December of 2021, the band released the song “Call It Like I See It.” On Feb. 25, the band released a new music video showcasing their new song release “Not Giving You Up.”

The music video was choreography packed and wanted to be perceived as charming. In the music video, the group was giving love advice through their “totally legit business,” which was called Big Time Relationship Services.

The band, whose fame is largely associated with their show on Nickelodeon, are wanting to produce projects that they themselves feel passion towards.

Logan Henderson, in an interview for the Rolling Stone, said “I think something that the guys and I were collectively attracted to in the very beginning was a chance to create and control all aspects of the band.”

Their announcement of their four month long tour is just the beginning of their comeback that the band felt was inevitable.
