Mover of mountains

Shaper of worlds

Brings joy to many

To others unfurls

To reveal its fangs and sink its teeth

Draining the life from broken heart’s beat

The day is coming, the red is approaching

Though why is there only a sense of foreboding

To many a chance to express their adoration

To others it’s merely romantic obligation

Then there are those who feel no feelings

Shut away due to foul prior dealings

It’s only a day, it’s overreacting

For others a need for emotional packing

Stuffing the heart as far down as one can

To eliminate the chance of it happening again

Love is a beautiful thing to attain

Sometimes however, it’s a mere reminder of pain
