Good evening fellow cheez-its and cheezettes, and welcome back to another installment of Drew Dishes. Swiss cheese: quite the wonderfully unique form of coagulation of milk protein casein. It is a one-of-a-kind flavor with an interesting aroma that raises this cheese above the rabble. The question still stands though…is it…perfect?

Cheese: you know it, you love it, and you will probably have a strange amalgamation of various meats and spices from the pantry in this year’s Holiday Cheese Ball. Today, we will discuss a strong favorite of many people…Swiss cheese. Swiss cheese is one of the most uniquely flavored cheeses that most people have experienced in their life. The closest way to describe the distinctive flavor is sweet, mild, and nutty.

It’s main uses are on sandwiches and/or in/on bakes. It is relatively limited in its uses in recipes, but this cheese can really make or break it on these recipes. It has an extremely unique flavor that can amplify the flavors of the dishes that it is in. Because of Swiss cheese’s interesting taste, this cheese might not be a snack everyone particularly enjoys.

The Secret Cheese Council gave this cheese an overall score of a 6.5/10 due to the split opinions they all had on this cheese. But….I am the Cheese Master in The Secret Cheese Council, and at the end of the day, my opinions triumph over the rest of theirs. Because of this I, the Cheese Master, gave it a strong rating of an 8/10. This score is the median from all of the scores from the council members, as there was a deep division in the ratings.

This will be the last cheese review from yours truly this semester. Next semester, I shall return to continue my quest to find the perfect cheese, if there ever is such a thing. My adventures are far from over, so until next time…this is your Cheez Whiz signing off.
