With Christmas less than a month away, it brings along the question: what to get your significant other? So here are some of the things I got my own boyfriend that you can try.

My boyfriend is a huge gaming nerd, which makes it hard to buy things for him without spending a lot of money. So after looking around some stores, I found some inexpensive ways to buy him Christmas gifts.

  • Video Games – Since he has such a wide range of games he likes and wants to play – even having over 400 games on Steam – buying a gift card for him to buy a game he knows he wants without me ruining the surprise of his gift makes this an easy stocking stuffer.

Many stores sell PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Shop, and Steam gift cards from 10 dollars to almost 50 dollars.

  • Clothing – Depending on how well you know what they like or don’t like, I found my boyfriend needed more socks especially ones with designs. He even likes graphic tees from HotTopic and Spencers for bands, his favorite games, and sometimes just random designs.

Spencers has a sale almost every day to buy four shirts and get one free, while HotTopic has a sale every day that varies.

  • Homemade baking or cooking – Food is almost always a great way to a person’s heart. My boyfriend knows I’m not a huge cook or baker, but he still likes it when I make him something easy from a box. Closer to Christmas, buying frozen cookies to put in the oven and bake for him makes him smile because he likes cookies.

Even food can be a nice gift. Since he likes sushi, buying it as dinner for one night before or after Christmas and even a gift card from his favorite restaurant is a great idea.

Christmas gifts aren’t always the same for everyone, so make sure to buy your significant other something they will either like or appreciate. Sometimes it’s not how much you spend, but how special the gift is.
