Beloved comedian and actor Norm Macdonald passed away on September 14, 2021 at the age of 61 in his Los Angeles home from his nine year private battle with cancer. Macdonald got his first debut in 1990 on David Letterman’s television show doing his own sketch comedy segments. By 1993, he had sat down with “Saturday Night Live” executive Lorne Michaels. From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Macdonald would go on to work on “SNL” for three seasons serving as one of the news anchors on “Weekend Update.”

Mr. Macdonald was known for his dry, wrought-iron, monotonous humor which he would often display during his time on television. However, he would soon be booted from the anchor seat for mocking NBC official Don Ohlmeyer who was reportedly buddies with OJ Simpson, the former Buffalo Bills running back, now current criminal and murderer. He also had recurring roles on Netflix’s Girl Boss and, from 2010-18 on ABC’s The Middle, in which he played the rudderless Rusty Heck, oddball brother to Neil Flynn’s Mike Heck. His survivors include his mother named Ferne, a son named Dylan and a brother named Neil.
