Hello there, my name is Courtney Balcombe and I have the pleasure of being your News Editor for the second year in a row! I am a senior communications major, as well as a campus tour guide and peer mentor.

When I’m not in class or in the Beacon office, I’m usually playing video games and taking care of my animals. I usually watch a lot of TV shows, but right now I’m watching Shadowhunters and What If.

While I may only be here for another year, I am happy that I made the decision to transfer to Behrend and meet some of the amazing people I’ve met.

Our goal is to shed light on important issues, share the accomplishments of Behrend and Penn State as a whole, and to build connections between writers, editors, and readers.
