ABC’s Dancing with the Stars is back with its 30th season set to premiere on September 20th. The season’s dancers were announced on “Good Morning America” on September 8th.

The host will once again be supermodel and businesswoman, Tyra Banks, who had been Tom Bergeron’s replacement for the 29th season.

“Tyra is an award-winning multihyphenate whose fierce female prowess and influence across many industries have made an indelible mark,” ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke said in a statement when she was first announced to host. “Her fresh take on America’s favorite dancing competition will surely bring more than a ‘smize’ to fans everywhere.”

While Banks’ first few episodes had some technical difficulties. The first she admitted through TikTok in 2020 that she said the wrong words during the second episode. The next mishap occurred a few months later when she announced the wrong bottom couples.

“I think Tyra dealt with it amazingly,” DWTS executive producer Andrew Llinares later told Entertainment Tonight. “I just want to be really clear, this was not Tyra’s fault. It was a behind-the-scenes issue.”

The lineup for judges will once again include renowned ballroom experts Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough.

While many missed seeing Goodman in season 29 due to the COVID pandemic, he will return to the show as if he hadn’t missed the last dance.

“I’m super excited to have him back because he’s family,” Banks said. “I think it’s going to be a beautiful dynamic now with all of them there.”
