As of March 5th, all Penn State Behrend students may request a walk-up COVID-19 test at the student information desk in the Reed Union Building. This testing is available to all non-symptomatic students any time the desk is open.

Walk-up testing is beneficial to students who think they may have been in contact with anyone with COVID, as well as to ease worry for students on campus and provide an extra layer of safety for the community. It is available to anyone the university identifies through contact tracing and anyone who has had suspected contact.

Random testing will still be taking place in order to monitor COVID numbers across campus. Also, any students with symptoms should quarantine and schedule an appointment at health and wellness in order to avoid infecting anyone else.

Any student on campus who believes they are at risk of exposure for COVID-19 should get tested frequently, regardless of the last time they were tested. Students are strongly encouraged to get tested frequently and for the remainder of the semester. Safety on campus is a priority, and taking COVID precautions along with frequent testing is one way of increasing safety among students campus-wide.
